Who we are
Jessica Cole native to Oahu MFA from Sarah Lawrence College 2000 (terminal degree including community outreach/teaching) 2004 MA London Metropolitan University , London Film School (terminal degree).
Teaching experience includes: University of Hawaii, Manoa Internship Facilitator, University of Hawaii, Maui College Faculty, Maui Grown Therapies, Patient Education Specialist, STEM and Women in Tech, Presenter, Relativity Education, Instructor, Films by Youth on the Inside (FYI) Instructor at Hawaii Youth Correctional Facility
Equestrian Experience: President of the Maui Polo Club (3 years) including oversight and management of Interscholastic Youth Program. Owner of 10+ horses for ten years. First word was “horse” and first horse she cared for was Licorice when she was ten years old.
Robert Danna-McDonald is a Kahuku Grad (2000) Honolulu Community College Associates in Communication Arts. Robert grew up in the 4H Program and has gone on to care for horses most of his life.
Robert worked for trail ride outfit Happy Trails Hawaii from 2001-2013 as the head wrangler and trail guide. Day to day Robert introduced riders from all over the world, some with no English, to horses for the first time. Additionally he was the Maui Polo Club Field manager and Equine Welfare chair. Therapeutic experience includes regular work with the Wounded Warriors program 2011-2012 and working with disabled and neurodiverse youth to this day.
Professionally Robert works as a Teamster Animal Wrangler and is a TWIC Card holder. Both require certification, basic safety, bullying and harassment training as well as background clearance. Teamster Animal Trainer/Wrangler credits are Chief of War, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Ocean Ramsay Documentary and Jurassic World. Animal Trainer/Wranglers work to the highest safety and animal welfare standards of any industry.
In 4-H from the age of 10 Robert’s first horse was Princess.
